The Red Dragon Growers is an environmental wellness initiative rooted in lived experience and a deep respect for the connection between land and human well-being. What began as a personal healing garden has grown into a working model that demonstrates how sustainable gardening, herbalism, and responsible land use can support ecological health, mental resilience, and everyday well-being.

Our gardens are purpose-designed living landscapes that support biodiversity, encourage calm and connection, and show what’s possible in a suburban backyard. Through garden tours, classes, workshops, and nature-centered wellness practices, we help people reconnect with the natural world in practical, accessible ways.
We grow a diverse range of medicinal herbs and share this knowledge through hands-on education — teaching sustainable gardening, herbal medicine, and earth stewardship as tools for empowerment, self-reliance, and long-term resilience.

We view caring for the land as an extension of caring for ourselves. By working with natural systems — soil, plants, water, and seasons — we support both environmental health and human well-being. Our practices prioritize biodiversity, responsible resource use, and sustainability at every scale.
In partnership with The Sound Within Us, our gardens also support a broader approach to wellness. Medicinal plants grown on site are incorporated into products and practices designed to support stress reduction, emotional balance, and nervous system regulation. The gardens themselves offer a setting for restorative experiences that promote mental clarity, physical resilience, and connection to place.
As our work continues to grow, The Red Dragon Growers will expand its role as a place for learning, movement, and connection to the natural world. The gardens will serve as the setting for yoga and gentle movement practices held on-site, using the land itself as a supportive environment for mental clarity, physical resilience, and embodied awareness.
We are also developing educational and community-based initiatives, including The Red Dragon Homeschool Academy, which uses garden and land-based learning to teach ecology, gardening, herbal knowledge, and responsible stewardship, and The Red Dragon Growers Nature Club, which offers guided nature walks focused on South Jersey’s natural spaces. These walks emphasize observation, seasonal cycles, land history, and environmental care, helping participants deepen their connection to local landscapes.
Together, these offerings reflect our long-term vision: to create accessible, place-based opportunities that help people of all ages build practical skills, strengthen their relationship with the land, and participate in caring for the environments where they live.
